Welcome to Levanto

Levanto has a long sandy beach, shops and good restaurants. This popular sea resort is surrounded by a green valley of pine forests, olive groves, vineyards and small medieval villages. It is part of the Italian Riviera which automatically makes it a popular tourist destination. Tourists flock to this region whenever possible because it’s a place with a mild climate and lots of things to see and do. It’s also near the water, which makes it the perfect place for anyone who enjoys water sports or fishing. Come to secluded Levanto and enjoy its monuments, fishing and marina. Head to sights like Levanto Beach and Levanto Marina as you discover Levanto—an area also notable for its fishing spots.

Its great waves make Levanto very popular with surfers. Hikers love the surrounding hills, gorgeously covered in pine and olive trees. The town’s medieval castle is perfectly preserved, and several beautiful old churches are here. Many of Levanto’s most important buildings are centered on Piazza della Loggio, the town square.

Just north of Cinque Terre, Levanto is often used as a gateway to those less easily reached villages, but has much to offer on its own in the form of sand, sea and sights. From Levanto you can easily reach the five villages by train in only 10 minutes, by boat or by foot through guided tracks.
